Magnolia's Wild Mushroom Grits
Another terrific grits recipe I collected on our trip to Charleston.
2 cups water 1 tsp. Garlic, minced 2 oz. Butter 1/2 tsp. Salt 3 oz. Grits 1 oz. Heavy cream 1 oz. Asiago Cheese 4 oz. Cooked wild mushrooms
In a medium saucepan, bring water, garlic, butter and salt to boil. Whisk in grits; return to boil, stirring constantly, reduced to simmer. Simmer 10 minutes until tender. Fold in cream, cheese and mushrooms.
Serves 4 as a side
